Een goede gezondheid is voor alle mensen belangrijk Daarom ben ik zo verheugd dat op het tweede Pakistan Mela de volksgezondheid zo’n prominente plaats inneemt. Overgewicht, bewegen, gezonde voeding en bewustwording zijn belangrijke thema’s. Op het Gezondheidsplein kunt u hierover alles te weten komen. Maak er gebruik van!
Maar natuurlijk is het festival ook een belangrijke ontmoetingsplaats. Ik ben trots op Den Haag met al zijn kleuren en achtergronden. En een festival als Pakistan Mela biedt mensen met diverse achtergronden de gelegenheid elkaar te ontmoeten en elkaars cultuur te leren kennen. Ook daarom wens ik u een prachtige dag toe.

Good health is essential for everyone. Therefore it pleases me that public health is a prominent issue at the second Pakistan Mela. Overweight and obesitas, exercise, healthy food and awareness are important themes. On the ‘Gezondheidsplein’ you can get all sorts of information about these themes.
The festival is also an important meeting place. I am proud of The Hague with all its colours and backgrounds. A festival such as the Pakistan Mela offers people with different backgrounds the opportunity to meet each other and learn about each others cultures. I wish you a magnificent day.
